Frequently asked questions.
If you don't see your question here, our contact page reaches a real person.
Is NestSafe legal to use?
NestSafe is built for parents and legal guardians monitoring their own minor children's devices, or employers monitoring company-owned devices with the user's knowledge. Laws vary by location — you're responsible for confirming NestSafe's use is lawful in your situation before installing it.
Does my child know it's installed?
That's your decision as a parent. We generally recommend telling children about monitoring, especially teenagers, since agreed-upon rules tend to hold up better than hidden ones.
Will installing NestSafe slow down the phone?
NestSafe runs a lightweight background service and typically uses under 2% additional battery per day, similar to a standard messaging app.
Can NestSafe be uninstalled by the child?
The app icon can be hidden during setup, and removing the app requires the same permissions used to install it. No consumer monitoring app can guarantee a device can never be reset or wiped, and we're upfront about that.
What happens to the data NestSafe collects?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, viewable only from your account, and deleted automatically 30 days after you cancel your plan. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
Does this work if the phone has no signal?
Location points are queued on the device and sync once a connection is available, so brief gaps in signal don't lose data.
Can I monitor more than one child?
Yes — the Family and Premium plans cover multiple devices under a single account and dashboard.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time from your dashboard billing page. Monitoring stops immediately and you won't be charged again.
